Individual and Couples/Relationship Therapy
If you are experiencing difficulty or distress in your life, psychotherapy and counselling can provide a time and place for when you most need support. It can also be an opportunity to work through the problems you are facing. Alternatively, it might be that there is some dissatisfaction in your life or that you have lost a sense of purpose or direction. You may be in a relationship that is going through a difficult time. If you are in any such situation my aim is to help you reflect on the issues that are troubling you, help you to seek an understanding of what you are experiencing and to work with you to explore what options there might be to help you through this difficult time.
My approach
My theoretical orientation is integrative, which is a way of working that is informed by, and incorporates aspects of, different types of psychotherapy and counselling such as psychoanalytic, cognitive and humanistic approaches. My training has been based on an integrative approach and I work in this way with adults and couples on an open-ended long-term basis. I provide a safe and confidential space where you can talk about your concerns and hopes for the future. I will work hard to understand your expectations of therapy and to make sense of what is most important to you right now.
